About Brian Vassar Heil, MD, FACS

Dr. Heil received his Doctorate of Medicine degree with Cum Laude and Alpha Omega Alpha honors from the University of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine, after graduating Summa Cum Laude from Saint Vincent College with undergraduate degrees in organic chemistry and biology.

He then completed a five year integrated residency training program in general surgery and plastic/reconstructive surgery, in addition to fellowships in microsurgery and thrombosis research from the University Medical Center of Pittsburgh, which is among the top plastic surgery training centers in the nation.

Dr. Heil has authored or co-authored more than 50 peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, and presentations on plastic surgery related topics; and, has presented at numerous regional and national plastic surgeon conventions. These leadership experiences qualify him to mentor future plastic surgery professionals and provide care of the utmost quality to his deserving patients.

In addition to his role as a reputable Pittsburgh plastic surgeon, Dr. Heil is a certified surgical laser specialist; as such, he serves as a national trainer on the use of state-of-the-art light and laser systems, cosmetic injectables, minimally invasive procedures, and medical spa management. He is trained to use several of the leading manufactured laser systems in surgical and non-surgical cosmetic applications.

In 2001, Dr. Heil established Premier Plastic Surgery, one of the largest plastic surgery practices in Western Pennsylvania, with four offices in two counties; and, Acqua Blu Medical Spa, the embodiment of a fully integrated, multi-site, medical spa vision. Premier Plastic Surgery locations are in Pittsburgh, Cranberry Township, Upper St. Clair, and Butler, PA.
